Back in Time
Today, we’re going to be working backwards for a bit. The precursor to the blog I spoke about in yesterday’s post was my time spent at Dr. Paul’s Lab LLC. They are a family-owned business with a far-reaching presence within the organic world, specifically in dairy herds.

I had been casually studying herbalism for several years and had been working every angle I could to get my foot in the agriculture door. Finally, my break came with the opportunity to work for the Lab. I learned a great deal, mostly about what I did not want in a career or how I want to run a business. And that’s with no shade to them. Their way of doing things is simply not mine. I was also only assembling their various products. I was hoping I would get a chance to create. Which, looking back, was kind of stupid of me to expect that. They were an established business. No kidding that they wouldn’t want some newbie in on their livelihood.
My education on studying and using herbs hit the back burner for a few years. I still have no idea what I am doing, but I am glad to be back in it. It sucks and is scary for it to feel like I’m walking blindly along each day, but I know the path will eventually reveal itself to me again. Or I’ll trip. Probably both.
I want your takeaway from this to be that winners lose more times than losers even try. I’m giving you real-life examples of how I fell flat and sucked. But it’s not a negative thing if you learn from it. The end of an article is a shit time for an introduction, but I think I’m finally finding a groove. So, welcome. There is no curated social media presence here. What a relief.
Peace out, Girl Scout. See you on the flipside.
Beth
